Diego Riemer & María Belén Giachello
New to our team as a dance couple – yet well-acquainted with one another for many years: Diego and Belén share a long history of dancing tango together. Now that they are performing together again after a break, brimming with new energy, they are once more making their mark on the international tango scene. We are delighted that they are enriching our tours with their teaching.
Diego ‘El Pájaro’ Riemer is renowned for his exceptional musicality, his precise technique and his playful approach to improvisation. As a former drummer, he possesses a special feel for rhythm and the distinct characters of tango, vals and milonga.
María Belén Giachello is a dancer, teacher, choreographer and singer. Her work is characterised by body awareness, elegance, musicality and a subtle sense of connection between partners. For her, it is not simply a matter of learning figures, but of developing a technique that enables personal expression and creative freedom.
Together, Diego and Belén combine precise, individual technique with lively communication as a couple. Their teaching creates space for clarity, presence, musicality and a tango that feels personal and free. In doing so, they establish a framework within which couples can discover improvisation and the swing of the music: a challenge that demands equal effort from both partner and partner.
Diego teaches mainly in English and speaks German. Belén speaks French, Spanish and English.
