In March, Fausto & Stephanie invite you to join us on our maiden voyage to the Ligurian Riviera.
Enjoy La Dolce Vita in the charming town of Chiavari, dance Tango in the historic ballroom of our hotel and discover the beauty of the coast from Genoa to Cinque Terre.

Tango
► Sophisticated turns & changes of direction
You will work on clearly guided turns, precise changes of direction and their smooth integration into the dance.
► Technique that sets the
dance free Fausto & Stephanie teach techniques for stable axes, clean pivots and effortless interaction between leading and following.
► Dancing with enjoyment & inspiration
The workshops are embedded in a relaxed tango holiday that offers space for individual dancing, exchange and inspiration.
There are two course groups with a maximum of 11 couples per group.
Tango lessons
- 5 x 1.5 hours of group lessons
- 2 accompanied practicas to consolidate what you have learnt
- Milongas every evening

- 150 square metre dance floor
Dancing experience
This trip is aimed for dancers who want to make their dancing easier and more fluid.
You dance regularly, know the basics and can combine figures with each other. At Milongas, you move around the Ronda and find your rhythm even when the dance floor is full. Enjoyment and enthusiasm for Tango are important to you, and you are open to good basic work and clear leading and following.
Fausto Carpino and Stephanie Fesneau are a young and likeable dance couple. They live in Syracuse, Sicily.
Their dancing is inspiring and rhythmically precise, their movements fluid and beautiful. In their classes, they teach with great personal commitment, joy and charm.
Our location
Our charming hotel with its "retro Buenos Aires flair" is quietly located in the old town of Chiavari on the Ligurian Riviera, between Genoa and Cinque Terre.
The perfect place to experience spring in Italy.
Hotel Monterosa
The traditional, family-run Hotel Monterosa combines nostalgic retro charm with modern comfort.
► Cuisine: Breakfast and dinner in the cosy "Sala Rosa" from the 1930s, exclusively reserved for our group.
► Relaxation: Whirlpool & sun terrace with the "Sol e Luna" bar.
► Location: Quietly located in the centre, only an 8-minute walk from the sea and the train station.
The charming old town of Chiavari seduces with its colourful facades, picturesque squares and countless arcades – ideal for strolling and browsing!
You can easily reach countless "pearls" of the Riviera by train: Rapallo, Portofino, Sestri Levante, Genoa and the hiking trails of the Cinque Terre.
Dance hall
Every evening, an atmospheric milonga awaits you in the atmospheric "Sala Grande" of our hotel – with the flair of the tango salons of Buenos Aires, on 150 m² of the finest parquet flooring. Tango lessons also take place here.
We look forward to experiencing the magic of tango with you in this special place!
Hotel rooms
All rooms have a bath/shower/WC, bathrobes, air conditioning, heating, kettle, minibar, safe and WiFi.
► The deluxe rooms are stylish and modern, completely renovated rooms, 18–25 m² in size.
► The superior rooms are simpler in 1980s style, yet well-maintained and functional, approx. 20 m² in size.
► The junior suite is just under 30 m² in size and modernly and comfortably furnished.
Culinary delights
The Hotel Monte Rosa will spoil you with:
- a varied breakfast buffet in the nostalgic "Sala Rosa", reserved exclusively for you.
- On four evenings, the hotel offers a regional three-course menu and a salad buffet with antipasti. Vegetarian options are available.
We will spend one evening in a rustic trattoria, where you can enjoy typical specialities from the Liguria region.
Two evenings are left free for you to explore Chiavari's countless restaurants and osterias.

Travel, personal expenses and local tax.
Together with the room bill (e.g. drinks), the hotel will charge a local tax of approximately €3 per person/day.
Additional days including breakfast are available on request.
Arrival in Chiavari should take place on Sunday afternoon.
Rooms are available from 3 p.m.
Almost all towns along the Ligurian Riviera can be easily reached by train.
Our hotel is located in the centre of the old town. An underground parking space can be reserved; please let us know in advance.
