Spring Tango Trip to Chiavari – on the Ligurian Riviera:
At the end of March, we invite you, together with Fausto & Stephanie, to an unforgettable tango trip full of charm, Dolce Vita, and Buenos Aires flair: to Chiavari on the picturesque Ligurian Riviera in Bella Italia.
Tango, sea, and Dolce Vita – in spring, Chiavari reveals its most beautiful, authentic side. Let yourself be enchanted by this special place!
Our charming hotel with "retro flair à la Buenos Aires" is located in a quiet section of the old town, perfect for our stay! A dance hall with 200 square meters of parquet flooring awaits you!
Chiavari is surrounded by evergreen olive groves, lemon trees, and rolling hills. The charming old town enchants with colorful facades, picturesque squares, and countless arcades – ideal for strolling and browsing! And on the beach, numerous bars await you for an aperitivo with a sea view...
Feeling adventurous? You can easily reach countless "pearls" of the Riviera by train: Rapallo, Portofino, Sestri Levante, Genoa, and the hiking trails of the Cinque Terre.

The tango workshops with Fausto Carpino & Stephanie Fesneau focus on "sophisticated turns & changes of direction." Thanks to our spacious dance hall, there's plenty of room for dancing!

The tango class schedule leaves plenty of time for excursions and relaxation. In the evenings, we dance in our hotel's atmospheric "Sala Grande" – on 200 m² of parquet flooring, perfect for tango!

The traditional, family-run Hotel Monterosa combines nostalgic retro charm with modern comfort.
► Dance: in the historic "Sala Grande" with the flair of tango salons like those in Buenos Aires, on 200 m² of parquet flooring.
► Dining: Breakfast and dinner in the cozy "Sala Rosa" from the 1930s, reserved exclusively for our group.
► Relaxation: Whirlpool & sun terrace with the "Sol e Luna" bar.
► Location: Quiet location in the historical center, just an 8-minute walk to the sea and the train station.
Breakfast is served as a buffet in the Sala Rosa. A set menu awaits us four evenings, including a vegetarian option, of course. One evening we will be treated to a special aperitif and Ligurian specialties.

Two evenings are free for exploring Chiavari, where there is an immense variety of quaint restaurants and osterias.
Room Categories
All rooms have a bathroom/shower/WC, bathrobes, air conditioning, heating, kettle, minibar, safe, and Wi-Fi.
The Deluxe Rooms have been completely renovated. They are stylish and modern, measuring 18–25 square meters.
The superior rooms are simpler, decorated in the 1980s style, yet still well-maintained and functional, measuring approximately 20 square meters.
The junior suite is just under 30 square meters and features modern, comfortable furnishings.

Arrival:
By car, plane, or train.
An airport shuttle is available from Genoa.
The hotel has an underground parking garage – you can leave your car parked, as everything is easily accessible on foot or by train.
The hotel offers free city bikes for exploring Chiavari. E-bikes are also available for a fee if you want to explore the hilly surrounding area in comfort.

The hotel will add a local tax of €3 per person/day to your room bill (e.g., drinks). This tax can only be paid on-site at reception and is collected per guest by the Chiavari tourism portal.

Tango with Fausto & Stephanie:

Fausto Carpino and Stephanie Fesneau are a young and very likeable dance couple. They live in Sicily and perform at many festivals around the world, where they also teach.
Fausto & Stephanie have been teaching on our tango tours for five years now. They continually inspire us and our participants with their natural, yet humorous, and cheerful manner! Their lessons are professional and very well-structured. Fausto & Stephanie focus on the following topics: harmonious embraces in couples, dynamics in the embrace, fluid dancing through sophisticated step combinations, and expression through interpretation of the music. Stephanie's advice on posture and ornamentation possibilities is a real asset for the ladies.

A total of five 1.5-hour lessons and two practicas with Fausto & Stephanie are planned. Fausto and Stephanie teach in easy-to-understand English.

The lessons and milongas take place in the hotel's own hall (200 sq m parquet floor).
Private lessons are available upon request and by prior arrangement.
