Jul 19th - 25th, 2026: Tango Holiday to Bregenz Forest/Austria

We are delighted that Martin la Bruna & Andrea Bestvater will be teaching tango with us in the Bregenzer Wald region this summer of 2026.
Their teaching style is characterized by humor and a genuine passion for sharing their elegant and aesthetically pleasing tango style. In the evening, we will enjoy an atmospheric milonga on a 250 square meter dance floor with beautiful parquet flooring.
The Bregenzer Wald region is a real hidden gem in the summer for anyone who wants to enjoy nature in the mountains away from the crowds. Here you can expect shady forest paths, picturesque alpine meadows with stunning views, and refreshing swimming spots in the clear waters of the Bregenzer Ache river. The gentle hills and valleys of the Bregenzer Wald are also perfect for cycling with an e-bike, allowing you to breathe in the fresh mountain air while exploring the charming landscape.
And best of all: with the Bregenzer Wald Guest Card, you can use all public transport, outdoor swimming pools, and cable cars free of charge. So, head up to the mountains and enjoy the breathtaking scenery!

Accommodation is at the Hotel Schwanen in Bizau. The Hotel Schwanen is officially certified as an organic hotel and is located in the center of the small village of Bizau. The exquisite cuisine of this family-run hotel is outstanding: the restaurant is listed in Gault & Millau with 3 toques and 14 points!
"Feeling at home from the very first moment..." this is possible here, according to the unanimous opinion of previous participants.
Our hosts at the organic Hotel Schwanen take excellent care of our well-being: among other things, we will be pampered with delicious recipes by Hildegard of Bingen: healthy and light, simple yet sophisticated. The exceptional cuisine, awarded 3 toques and 14 points by Gault & Millau, entices with delightful sensory experiences. Seasonal, regional, and creative – that's the motto of the kitchen team at the Schwanen!
Our package includes half board: a healthy, nutritious breakfast and a fine 4-course dinner. The restaurant is bright and tastefully furnished and has a garden terrace where you can enjoy delicious apricot dumplings and Austrian strudel specialties in the afternoon. A sauna with a relaxation room, a cozy lounge, and the rustic lounge in the typical "mountain" style also contribute to your well-being. By the way: there is a barefoot path near our hotel – a real treat for our feet and ideal after an intensive day of tango with Martin & Andrea.
The rooms at the Schwanen are elegantly lined with white fir wood and furnished with simple yet comfortable, modern furniture made by Bregenz craftsmen. The rooms differ in size and location: Schwanen I is approx. 30 sq m, Schwanen II approx. 22-24 sq m. Both room types offer views of Kanisfluh and Hirschberg, or they are spacious corner rooms (Schwanen I). The rooms in the Schwanen III building face the street, which has very little traffic at night, as Bizau is located in a side valley.
Room assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Holiday apartments:
In addition to staying at the Hotel Schwanen, this trip also offers the option of booking well-equipped holiday apartments. These are located about a 5-minute walk from the Hotel Schwanen. The apartments have one bedroom and a kitchen with a comfortable living area. Meals (breakfast and dinner) will be taken together with the group at the Hotel Schwanen.
Gasthof Taube:
The Gasthof Taube is a cozy, family-run hotel, about a 2-minute walk from the Schwanen. The rooms are furnished in a simpler style. Breakfast and dinner will also be taken together with the group at the Schwanen.

Arrival and departure:
Arrival should be on Sunday by 5:00 PM. The courses begin on Monday and end on Friday. There are no courses on Saturday, so you can depart after breakfast.

Getting to Bizau:
Travel to Bizau is at your own expense. Bizau is approximately 45 minutes by car from Bregenz.
By car via the Rhine Valley Highway A1: Take exit Dornbirn Nord, follow signs towards Dornbirn city center, and then follow the signs to the Bregenzerwald region. Continue on the B 200 (via Alberschwende, Egg, Andelsbuch) to Bezau (2nd exit) and turn right towards Bizau immediately after the bridge. The hotel is located directly in the village center, to the right of the church.
