We invite you to join us for a lively Milonga Tango weekend with Amanda & Adrian Costa at beautiful Lake Chiemsee. The perfect complement to the Easter Tango Weekend.

Milonga – get the groove: During this tango retreat, Amanda & Adrian will focus on the rhythmic nuances and diverse stylistic possibilities of the Milonga: grounded, connected to your partner and the music, playful and sophisticated, "simply danced"—guaranteed to be fun and will add a new lightness to your dancing! Morning and afternoon classes are offered, complemented by guided practice sessions to reinforce what you've learned. Experience high-level professional tango instruction from Amanda & Adrian in the unique atmosphere of our charming hotel: the spacious, light-filled ballroom with 110 square meters of beautiful parquet flooring is perfect for dancing and enjoying the evening milongas. Our idyllic property is located directly on the lake with stunning views of the mountains. Strolling along the lake is a wonderful way to relax. There are also many attractive destinations to explore in the Chiemgau region, such as nearby Rosenheim, Fraueninsel, and the Herrenchiemsee Palace.

Our tango hotel in Aiterbach on Lake Chiemsee is the perfect place for a relaxing tango holiday. Once the summer residence of a well-known Munich family of artists, the building has been lovingly renovated and transformed into a charming hotel with a captivating blend of tradition and modernity. Our guests are always thrilled by the unique atmosphere.
In 2024, all the rooms in the main building and the annex were renovated and furnished in a modern, contemporary style.
The main building, a fine example of Munich Art Nouveau architecture, forms the heart of the Aiterbach complex. Here you will find the restaurant, cozy lounges, and some guest rooms. From the terrace, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the lake and the breathtaking panorama of the Alps. The annex, located right next door, houses the superior rooms, as well as the 110 square meter, light-filled ballroom with its parquet floor.
The expansive park with direct access to the lake invites you to relax and unwind.
Breakfast and dinner are served buffet-style in the main building. On sunny days, we can enjoy breakfast on the terrace with its stunning views.

Note on room furnishings:
Superior Rooms:
The Superior rooms are located in the modern, two-story extension of the property.
You can choose between rooms with a direct lake view or a side view towards the garden or the boathouse. The new building has an elevator.
Standard Rooms:
The Standard rooms are located in the two-story main building. They are slightly smaller than the Superior rooms and offer either a view of the lake or the street. The main building does not have an elevator.
Studios are also available upon request. These are maisonette-style rooms with a bedroom on the upper level and a separate, smaller living area. The studios are located in the main building facing the street.

Getting to Aiterbach on Lake Chiemsee:
The property is easily accessible by car via the A8 motorway, heading towards Salzburg/Munich, exiting at Bernau/Prien am Chiemsee. Coming from Rimsting towards Gstadt/Seebruck, Aiterbach is 10 minutes from Prien.
The nearest train station is Prien. There is a regular bus service (line 9520) from there. The bus stop is directly in front of the hotel. Taxis are available at Prien train station.

Arrival and Departure:
Arrival should be by 5:00 PM. Courses begin the following day. Check-in is possible from 3:00 PM.
There are no courses on the day of departure.

Amanda and Adrian Costa:

With Amanda and Adrian, the highest Tango Argentino enjoyment is pre-programmed. The two dance extremely harmoniously to the music and wonderfully elegantly. Rhythm and clarity in dance are particularly close to their hearts. It is hard to resist the fascination of their aesthetics. With Amanda and Adrian there is no "figure acrobatics", but smart step play, which results from attentive listening to the music and its interpretation. Their credo: "Tango is not a figure, tango is a feeling". Especially their way of dancing milonga with a lightness, effervescence and visible joy makes the hearts of the audience beat faster.
Amanda and Adrian teach in English and are easy to understand.

"Milonga Challenge":
From Tuesday to Sunday there are eight hours of lessons and prácticas on the theme "Milonga - get the groove": Without fixed step patterns in your head, but instead with a new lightness in your feet, you learn to "dance" instead of "move", whether with or without traspié, doubling or halving, in any case grounded and with a lot of feeling. The courses are suitable for all dancers with three years of dance experience or more. There are two course groups, the group division is done by Amanda & Adrian. The prácticas are held together for both groups.

This trip is designed for intermediate to advanced dancers:
Participants should have at least three years of active dance experience. A good understanding of the basic steps in both parallel and crossover styles is required. Turns based on a stable axis, pivots, and ocho turns should be executed smoothly and confidently by both the leader and follower. Dancing smoothly in a group (ronda) should be effortless and natural.

The classes as well as the milongas take place in the beautiful hall with parquet floor and a wonderful view of Lake Chiemsee.
