Musicality, Deepness & Connection in Tango: the deeper the understanding of the music, the stronger the connection with our partner becomes. And the closer the connection to our partner, the more intensely we can experience and dance tango together. These tango days will be an exciting addition to our Pugliese retreat in October, as Amanda & Adrian will focus on some tangos by D'Arienzo, Tanturi & Troilo and we will work on their interpretation.

Amanda & Adrian Costa teach "Tango de Salón" in its purest form: clearly structured, they show in their lessons how dancers can achieve more presence and elegance in their dance through good walking technique and rhythmic clarity. There are no "figure acrobatics" with the two of them, but smart step games that result from attentive listening to the music and its interpretation. Their credo: "Tango is not a figure, tango is a feeling". Especially in this journey, care is taken to get a structure into the dance: by listening and interpreting the music with all its subtleties, more clarity emerges for the leading and following. Quality in the dance instead of quantity of figures.
In the prácticas we actively work out possible step combinations together. Much emphasis is also placed on "social dance": dancing in the direction of the dance with respect for all others and without stressing yourself. This is "Tango de Salón" par excellence!
After dinner, the evening continues with an atmospheric milonga.
In Aiterbach on Lake Chiemsee, a place with a special atmosphere awaits us. Here we can relax in beautiful nature and enjoy the unique location directly on the lake.
There are many possibilities to be active. Cycling tours or walks along the lake, a boat trip to the islands of Herrenchiemsee and Frauenchiemsee or excursions to Rosenheim or nearby Salzburg are all possibilities. But also in Aiterbach itself you can enjoy a relaxed Easter - whether at an extensive Easter brunch followed by a milonga or relaxing in the beautiful park of the estate.

This trip can be combined with the Milonga Challenge program from April 22 - 27, 2025.

Aiterbach is the perfect place for a "time out": away from stress and the hectic pace of everyday life! It was once the summer residence of a well-known Munich family of architects and artists. Later, the house was prudently renovated and extended, creating an exciting mix of tradition and modernity. Our participants are thrilled by the unique ambience every time.
The centre of the Aiterbach ensemble is the main house in Munich Art Nouveau style. Here you will find some of the rustically furnished guest rooms and studios. Cosy parlours invite you to linger. Breakfast and dinner are served buffet-style in the main house. The sun terrace offers a magnificent view of the lake and the overwhelming Alpine panorama. The spacious park with direct access to the lake is a wonderful place to relax. In the new building there are modern and tastefully furnished superior guest rooms, as well as the light-flooded hall with parquet floor, where our tango events take place.

Note on room furnishings:
Superior rooms:
You can choose from rooms in the new building with a direct view of the lake or with a side view towards the garden or the boathouse. These are modernly furnished rooms with a double bed and a beautiful bathroom with shower/toilet. There are rooms on the 1st floor or 2nd floor with an elevator.
Standard rooms:
These are located in the main house. They are rustically furnished and offer either a view towards the park and the lake or towards the street. There is no lift in the main house.
In addition, studios can be requested. These are maisonette-style rooms with a bedroom and a separate small living area.

Amanda and Adrian Costa:

With Amanda and Adrian, the highest Tango Argentino enjoyment is pre-programmed. The two dance extremely harmoniously to the music and wonderfully elegantly. Rhythm and clarity in dance are particularly close to their hearts. It is hard to resist the fascination of their aesthetics.
They teach "Tango de Salón" in its purest form: clearly structured, they show how dancers can achieve more presence and elegance in their dance through good walking technique and rhythmic clarity. With Amanda and Adrian there is no "figure acrobatics", but smart step play, which results from listening carefully to the music and its interpretation. Their credo: "Tango is not a figure, tango is a feeling".  Especially in this journey, care is taken to get a structure into the dance: by listening and interpreting the music with all its subtleties, more clarity emerges for the leading and following. Quality in the dance instead of quantity of figures.
Amanda and Adrian teach in English.

From Thursday to Monday, a total of ten hours of classes with prácticas & lectures are included.
The focus of the classes on this trip is "Tango de Salón: Musicality & Rhythm". Different orchestras are introduced and attention is paid to the dynamics and interpretation of the orchestra during the figures.
The basic prerequisite for elegance in the dance and in the sequence is good basic work, a good walking technique and a coherent embrace. These points are worked on just as intensively as musicality and the resulting step combinations.
Participants should have at least three years of active dance experience in order to benefit from the complex subject of musicality.
There are two course groups, the group division is done by Amanda & Adrian.
The prácticas and lectures are held together for both groups.
The classes as well as the milongas take place in the beautiful hall with parquet floor and a view of Lake Chiemsee. This trip can be combined with the programme "Milonga Challenge" from 2.4. - 7.4.2024".
